Who we are

This website is run by Tayo and Itee Odekunle (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal information you share with us here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at tayo@odekunle.com.

What we collect and why

• Newsletter — your email address, first name (optional), the date you signed up and the wording you agreed to. We use this only to send you our newsletter. Lawful basis: your consent.
• Speaking enquiries — your name, email, organisation and event details. We use these to respond to your enquiry and plan the event. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to requests you send us.
• Questions (“Ask Tayo&Itee”) — your question and, if you choose to give them, your first name and email. We use these to read and respond to your question and, only if you tick the box, to answer it anonymously in the Journal. Lawful basis: your consent. Please don’t include details that could identify you or anyone else.
• Security — to protect our forms from spam we keep a short-lived, one-way scrambled version of your IP address for 48 hours, and we may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving “are you human?” check.

Cookies and analytics

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If we measure visits, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or track you across other sites. Videos on the Watch page use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or share your information for marketing. This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which stores and processes data on our behalf under its data processing terms. Data may be processed outside the UK with appropriate safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe (every email includes a link), then removed.
• Speaking enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact.
• Questions: up to 12 months, unless we answer them anonymously in a post.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email us at tayo@odekunle.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
